Showing some Work in Progress (WIP), and there are three planes to show. This sounds like London buses… you wait for ages then three come along at once.
You can come over to the airport to the C&C hangar and look at the planes being worked on. Even try out a beta of the S.21 if I am around 🙂
First up we have the Hunter S.21. This is loosly based on the Savoia S-21, which was inspired by the SIAI S.21 and the Macchi M.33.
The Hunter S.21 is in its final stages of Beta testing. It is flying, and it flies really well, true to the character of what we expect of the plane. The sound is gruff, and it is a tough and robust plane. It is being scripted by Shana Aircraft.
Next up is the Hunter X-STOL. Modelling is complete on this plane, and some of the scripting is done. This is a fun bush plane with some interesting characteristics: Leading edge slats for increased lift at very low speeds, working trim, over large flaps, tundra tyres and a detailed cockpit with plenty of working features.
And last up, what is currently known as Project Humboldt. I leave you with one render of this plane, it has been brought into SL at under 30 prims so far. Modelling continues so it is not complete (the engine and cockpit still need to be done). This will be be a radial engined racing plane, but who knows, it may be militarised at some point 😉
A little update, a few hours later, this is Project Humboldt in SL 🙂 I’ve been optomising textures and tweaking the odd polygon here and there. Next, a sexy compact racing radial engine.
